Episode 48:
I'm back! I'm so grateful for your grace during the times when I truly need the space to create, gain clarity so I can ultimately show up for you in the best way I know how. I'm truly honored that you're taking the time to listen to this episode because if you've ever been unclear on your next path, where you're going, what's in store for your life, then I know this episode will resonate with you.
The past two weeks I've embarked on a spiritual journey that I sometimes struggle to put words to. It's been the most incredible time of growth, happiness, fulfillment and everything in between. The joy I've been able to feel is not because I'm "special" and somehow have abilities that you don't. Quite the opposite. I finally got to a point in my life where I said NO MORE, the pain of being stagnant and letting my fears run my life is over. I will take back my personal power to create a positive shift in my life and in the lives of those around me.
This is easily THE most raw and real episode I've recorded to date. It's also the most in alignment with who I am as a human being and how I want to serve you. I know you'll enjoy this episode and likely relate to many of the things I have to say.
I want you to know that I'm here for you. I'm here to support, love, stretch you and above all else, what you connect so deeply to yourself that you discover what your purpose on this planet truly is. You have a gift inside of you that only you have. Don't believe me? Ask the higher power you believe in.......I double dare you :)

Episode 47:
What if I told you that tomorrow I was going to gift you the VERY thing you've been dreaming of day after day? Would you be ready?
The truth is, this topic comes up so often with my clients who want to lose weight, be more fit, stop thinking about food and finally develop an effortless routine. I want you to think about that dream I'm about to hand you, do you believe with all your heart that you'd be ready for it? Could you handle it? Knowing that you hadn't taken all the daily steps you knew you needed to take. Knowing that you were unsure of how to maintain it.
Think about people who win the lottery. Typically, many of these people wind up spending all their money within a year of winning it. I think about this ALL the time as an entrepreneur, would I be ready if tomorrow Oprah showed up on my doorstep to collaborate? Maybe.
The whole point of achieving your dreams is that the JOURNEY is what allows you to carry out the result you are dying for. But Ali, the process is hard. It feels like a roller coaster, it feels like I'm never going to get there. I GET YOU. I've been there, I'm still there in certain areas of my life. But you know what? I know that if I stay the course, if i can find a way to become wildly obsessed with the process, that is what will get me there. I've never known anyone who became so excited and enjoyed a process to not reach their goal. You know why? They commit, every single day to doing one thing that will move them forward. They know that imperfect action trumps staying where they are. They know that by putting in the tiny efforts each and being consistent, that is what ultimately leads them to their dream.
So I'll as you again, if you've been feeling impatient and wanting your dream to happen TOMORROW, would you be ready? Or do you have some work to do?

I'm backkkkkkk! I took a much needed break from social media and technology as many of you noticed. I needed some time to connect back to my heart. One of the best ways for me to do that is to unplug, escape into nature and discover new inspiration and excitement. I feel refreshed and excited, so thank you for being patient as I took a short break from the podcast. I never want to create for you just to "create." I always want there to be purpose and meaning behind it all, and sometimes breaks are necessary for me to put my best foot forward.
Today I'm answering YOUR questions. I ask you all during every episode if you have questions you'd like me to answer. Normally your questions turn into entire episodes, but lately I've been compiling a list of shorter questions to answer all at once. Today I discuss:

Episode 45:
A friend recently reached out to me asking what my outlook on rest days is. This is a topic I'm extra passionate about. In an industry that can lean towards promoting "more is better" and "there are no excuses for not fitting in a workout," I feel quite different about this topic. I don't believe you need anyone telling you whether or not you're making up excuses. We all know when we're falling prey to that behavior, and in circumstances such as that, the best thing we can do is come to that conclusion on our own. To take ownership for our actions and decide to make a change.
In today's episode, I share my personal struggles early on in my journey when it came to embracing rest days and extra sleep. It took me quite a few years to realize that "less is truly more." That by allowing my body to have time off when it's sore, hurting or sick actually heightens my results in the long run.
I realize this can be a difficult concept to comprehend. I wouldn't be surprised if you struggle in the beginning figuring out what that balance looks like in your life. I'm here to reassure you though, that you can do it. That while it may seem scary to pull back on the intensity, your body will thank you. You might even find you enjoy moving your body more when you give it time away.

Progress over Perfection Podcast
Back by popular demand...Eliza Kingsford (aka my sister). We had such a great time talking about her book last time and so many of you sent an outpouring of love about that episode, that we decided to do part 2.
On today's episode of the progress over perfection podcast, we discuss how to recover from setbacks (aka life). We've both battled injuries this past year and learned so much from our "new normal." It can be a confusing time when life gets flipped upside down. Injuries can leave us wondering, "why did this happen to me?" Today, we discuss why that's actually benefitted our journey's in the long run.
We also dive deep into the scale, and why you might need to break up with it for a while (or forever). So many women have written me lately sharing their deep struggles with feeling like they are rocking in every department, but the minute the scale doesn't show them a number they like, it completely negates everything they've worked so hard on. Join us in this episode as we talk about why this behavior is so destructive and how you can beat it, once and for all.
